The DSWD Field Office Caraga successfully conducted the 1st Quarter Virtual Kumustahan with LGU Solo Parent Focal Persons on February 16, 2026 via Google Meet, providing a platform to strengthen coordination and enhance the implementation of the Solo Parent Welfare Program across the region.

The session featured the presentation of the CY 2025 Solo Parent database, recognition of LGUs with timely report submissions, a knowledge-sharing session on the Pamilya sa Bagong Pilipinas program, and a re-orientation on reportorial requirements and the Solo Parent database. Participants also discussed upcoming activities, including the National Solo Parent Week Celebration, the Search for the Natatanging Pamilyang Pilipino 2026, and the creation of the Regional Federation of Solo Parents. The meeting likewise emphasized collaborative efforts to strengthen the implementation of Republic Act No. 11861 through sustained coordination and advocacy at the local level.
