In celebration of the 2026 Child Development Workers (CDW) Week, Child Development Workers from across the Caraga Region gathered virtually via Google Meet on June 30, 2026, for a meaningful learning and appreciation activity.

Anchored on the theme, “Mga Child Development Workers, Haligi ng Maagang Edukasyon, Gabay sa Matatag na Kinabukasan ng Kabataan,” the celebration recognized the unwavering commitment and invaluable contributions of Child Development Workers in laying the foundation for every child’s holistic growth and lifelong learning.

A key highlight of the activity was the insightful discussion by Ms. Cheryl P. Mainar, who served as the resource person for the Orientation on Republic Act No. 12199, the “Early Childhood Care and Development System Act.” The session enhanced participants’ understanding of the law and reinforced the importance of strengthening early childhood care and development programs to ensure that every child receives quality care, protection, and opportunities to thrive.

As we celebrate the dedication of our Child Development Workers, may we continue working together to promote quality early childhood development and build a brighter future for every Filipino child.
