The DSWD Field Office Caraga successfully conducted the 2nd Quarter Virtual Kumustahan with LGU Solo Parent Focal Persons to share updates, strengthen partnerships, and reinforce the implementation of programs and services for solo parents throughout the Caraga Region.
Highlights of the session included a knowledge-sharing discussion on the Department of Trade and Industry’s livelihood and entrepreneurship programs, updates on the regional and LGU accomplishments under the Solo Parent Welfare Program, the introduction of the new Regional Solo Parent Focal Person, and discussions on key priorities for the succeeding quarter. The meeting also provided an avenue for LGUs to exchange best practices, address implementation concerns, and reaffirm their commitment to improving services for solo parents through strengthened coordination, timely reporting, and effective implementation of Republic Act No. 11861.
