On June 30, 2026, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga successfully conducted the Gender and Development (GAD) Technical Working Group (TWG) 2nd Quarter Meeting for CY 2026. The meeting was spearheaded by the GAD-TWG Chairperson, Assistant Regional Director for Operations, Jean Paul S. Parajes, and attended by the members of the GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) from the different divisions.

The meeting served as a venue to provide updates on the agreements reached during the previous quarter and discuss the current agenda. As part of the agreements, the committee strengthened its advocacy by encouraging each division to regularly post its activities in the agency’s GAD Corner.

As part of the agenda, Ms. Jessie Catherine B. Aranas, Chief of the Protective Services Division and Co-Chairperson of GAD-TWG, discussed and emphasized the importance of aligning all division activities and references with the Philippine GAD Agenda 2026–2028.

Meanwhile, Ms. Lovelyn S. Galing, Head of the Policy Development and Planning Section, proudly presented the GMEF updates and announced that DSWD Field Office Caraga achieved an overall rating of 99.92. This reflects the Field Office’s continued commitment to improving gender mainstreaming and sustaining its Level 5 status.

Ms. Caroline Q. Catalan, Planning Officer III, also reminded the participants to adhere to the timelines for submitting the GAD Accomplishment Reports, GAD Budget Plan, GAD Strategic Plan, and GAD Operational Plans.

Furthermore, Mr. Julieto L. Ompad, Information Technology Officer I, presented Version 2 of the GAD Resource Information Pool Information System (GRIP IS), which features enhancements that make encoding accomplishments and results more convenient for users.
