Butuan City – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Caraga conducted a 2-day Program Review and Evaluation Workshop (PREW) for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) last March 16-17, 2011 at Almont Inland Resort, Butuan City.
During the PREW, the Provincial and Municipal Link Officers (MLOs) of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program presented the gains and accomplishments of the program in their respective municipalities – the numbers of Municipal Action Team (MAT) created, number of orientations conducted on Compliance Verification System (CVS), Beneficiaries Update System (BUS), Grievance Redress System (GRS) and the Supply-Side Assessment on education and health. Moreover, the participants also identified the areas that need improvements.
The presentation was followed by a plenary discussion with DSWD Regional Director Mercedita P. Jabagat; Pantawid Pamilya Program Manager Angelita B. Amista and Provincial Link Officers Ruth Tambura, Neda Barrios, Miraflor de Guzman and Mr. Micheal Andohoyan. The outcome of the said activity will be used to further enhance the implementation of the program and to address some issues and problems encountered by the workers.
One of the outputs of the PREW is the action plan formulated by the MLOs for the year 2011, which was also based on the Thrusts and Priorities of Pantawid Pamilya for 2011.
A total of 72 participants composed of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program staff and officers of DSWD Caraga attended the activity.
Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program in Caraga started in year 2008 with 2 pilot municipalities, namely Sibagat and Esperanza of Agusan del Sur. At present, the program is being implemented in 70 municipalities in the region. # # # (Social Marketing Unit)
