BUTUAN CITY – On March 8, 2012, the Caraga RDC-GADCC held its 8^th KALANDRAKAS, a yearly activity in time of the International women’s Day celebration. Held in Balanghai Hotel, Butuan City, Kalandrakas features various activities such as lecture on life saving techniques, livelihood opportunities and skills development, trade fair, ukay-ukay, bingo game, garage sale, GAD film showing, beauty and massage parlors, parlor games, medical mission and also a venue for information dissemination on GAD issues and concerns.

This year’s Women’s Month theme is “Women Weathering Climate Change: Governance and Accountability, Everyone’s Responsibility” which also supports the Philippine Development Plan of President Benigno S. Aquino III, particularly in Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation. ### (Social Marketing Unit)
