Butuan City – The Local Government Unit of Butuan headed by the Honorable City Mayor Ferdinand M. Amante, Jr. extended his profound appreciation in behalf of the entire city, to Regional Director Minda B. Brigoli of DSWD FO Caraga for the remarkable response to their call for help during the onslaught of a Low Pressure Area (LPA) which was capped by Tropical Depression Agaton.

In his letter, he said that the quick response of their request spelled a great difference in the lives of the affected families.

The region had provided four times augmentation with a total of 10,980 family food packs for the families seriously hit by the disaster.

“ Please know that your gestures deeply touched and are ingrained in the hearts of our people,” Mayor Amante said.

It was recalled that TD Agaton hit the city last January and had caused floods to many barangays which caused damaged to a number of houses.### ( social marketing unit/ TDB )
