Butuan City – Many Caraganons have improved their lives since they assessed by Listahanan of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Assistant Regional Director for Administration and Listahanan Deputy Regional Project Manager Nerisa T. Murih has said.

In an exclusive meeting with the Sangguiniang Panlungsod member Susan G. Gerona of District 1, Agusan del Sur on Wednesday, Murih emphasized the usefulness of Listahanan database of poor families.

She said through Listahanan, Caraganons benefitted from Government’s social protection program and services. The disadvantage and marginalized have availed programs like Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, Kalahi-CIDSS, Sustainable Livelihood Program, Social Pension and Supplementary Feeding. And even PhilHealth had utilized the Listahanan database.

She also mentioned that Government’s resources will not be wasted because we have a data that is complete and credible, and that is Listahanan.

Moreover, Regional Field Coordinator Therese Margarette Babanto and Cale Pineda discussed the Listahanan to SP Gerona.

On the other hand, SP Gerona committed to present the Listahanan during the session of their province.
