Felly Magdasuk shows her genuine smile inside their eatery at San Jose, Province of Dinagat Islands. She, together with her co-participants of the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), manages their SEA-K association’s eatery and catering services project. Like most stories of success, their association also experienced constant struggle with extreme highs and lows. Nonetheless, they did not allow life to break them.
Spending her parenthood alone and had her house burned, Felly managed to stay optimistic about life.
Just like cooking, she also has her recipe for success and she combines all the ingredients with optimism and determination. She believes that success is always sweet when shared.
Having a positive profit, the group agreed to put up an eatery at the heart of the municipality.
“Ang akong pagka optimistic nadala nako sa ako mga miyembro ug tungod niini nagpadayon kami na nagkahiusa at naningkamot na mapalahutay among negosyo (I’ve shared my optimism with my members and with this we are one in trying our best to sustain our business),” she shares.###(MARY CARMELLE C.
