BUTUAN CITY- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Caraga through the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi-CIDSS) program officially launches its first-ever short feature/documentary film-making contest.
The competition, with the theme: “Highlighting the Impact of Community-Driven Development With Different Partner-Stakeholders in the Implementation of DSWD Kalahi-CIDSS Caraga”, is open to all filmmakers, videographers, students, and anyone interested in video production (group or individual).
According to DSWD OIC-Regional Director Mita Chuchi Gupana-Lim, the contest is organized mainly to promote and strengthen the program’s advocacy campaign for Community Driven-Development (CDD).
“With Kalahi-CIDSS (specifically KALAHI CIDSS – National Community Driven Development Project) coming to a close in 2019, the program implementers are trying to sustain the impact of the program with the different stakeholders, most specially, the partner – beneficiaries. The launching of the Kalahi-CIDSS short film/documentary competition will add a fresh perspective on the program implementation and impact, coming from an outsider’s view,” Lim said.
