BUTUAN CITY- The Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation-Integrated Development Center, Incorporated (JPIC-IDC Inc.) recognized noteworthy efforts of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Caraga in fighting against human trafficking in the region.
Awards through plaques were given to the following: Regional Program Management Office of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program as their partner on Trafficking in Persons (TIP) for their conduct of Family Development Session (FDS); Recovery and Reintegration Program for Trafficked Persons (RRPTP) for providing services to the victim-survivors; and DSWD-Caraga as the chair of the Regional Inter-agency Council Against Trafficking-Violence Against Women and their Children (RIACAT-VAWC) initiative in combating human trafficking.
The four plaques were given during the Cinemobile Phase III PASASALAMAT Project Culmination in partnership with the Grassroots Towards Empowerment and Development conducted by JPIC on January 31, 2018 at LMX Convention Center, Butuan City.
Highlighting the collaborative efforts of the project partners against human trafficking, the activity was attended by partner-stakeholders such as Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police (PNP), and DOJ-Regional Anti-Trafficking Task Force.
On behalf of OIC Regional Director Mita Chuchi Gupana-Lim, General Administration and Support Services (GASDD) Chief Ramel Jamen and Pantawid Pamilya Regional Program Coordinator Crislea Celeste represented the department.
