BUTUAN CITY– Section heads and staff of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga and local social welfare and development officers convened for the Regional Technical Assistance and Resource Augmentation (TARA) Program Review and Evaluation Workshop (PREW) at Almont Inland Resort, Butuan City on March 4, 2020.
The main objective of the activity is to present the local social welfare and development office (LSWDO) service delivery assessment baseline results which also includes identifying the challenges and crafting strategies to address the gaps along with the implementation of the TARA program.
Through the one-day activity, the participants were able to review the TARA program framework, present the regional TARA plan, and gain support and agreement on the TARA plan from the partner local government units (LGU).
During the PREW, the LSWDOs were given an opportunity to share their feedback about the program, its processes, and its implementation. Some of the participants voiced their issues and concerns to guarantee the successful implementation of the regional TARA plan.
“Through this activity, we will be able to ensure that we deliver quality services to our people,” DSWD TARA Focal Rachel Bade said.
DSWD provides technical assistance to LSWDOs from the provincial, city, and municipal level in delivering devolved social welfare and protection programs and services.
