The KALAHI-CIDSS Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) was hailed as the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Caraga’s PRAISE 2nd Best Operations Office during the Agency’s 70th anniversary celebration at The Pavilion, Butuan City.

 

The PRAISE (Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence) Award is given to honor men and women who devoted their lives to partner-beneficiaries; and who continue to use all their strength, skill intelligence and compassion to uphold a standard of professionalism that fully benefits the poor and marginalized sectors.

 

Regional Program Coordinator Bennette Dave C. Calo, Deputy Regional Program Manager Ester V. Villamor, and Regional Social Development Unit head Elsa D. Montemor accepted the PRAISE 2020 Group Awards on Monday, March 15.

 

RPC Calo said the recognition “is a testament of our dedication and passion in rendering and delivering genuine service to our clients and partner stakeholders.”

 

“I would like to share this award to all the hardworking men and women of the KALAHI-CIDSS. Despite the challenges brought about by Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, we’ve still managed to accomplish and hit our targets and commitments beyond what is expected,” Calo said.

 

DRPM Villamor cited the cooperation and dedication of the RPMO staff in bringing the services to the communities and to partner local government units (LGUs).

 

“I am grateful to everyone’s spirit, having full of strength, courage and enthusiasm despite the challenges brought by Covid-19. You all never complained and yet showed the Best Performance,” Villamor said.

 

KALAHI-CIDSS, which stands for Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan – Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services, is one of the poverty alleviation programs of the government being implemented by the DSWD. Community-Driven Development (CDD) Approach used by the program ensures development priorities are addressed in a participatory, collective, inclusive, and in demand-driven way.

 

Meanwhile, the 1st place was awarded to Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program Regional Office.
