As of December 25, 2021 at 3:00 PM, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga has augmented a total of 49,010 Family Food Packs (FFPs) amounting to Php24,946,727.35 and 23,460 non-food items (NFIs) to LGUs in the region affected by Typhoon Odette.
The distribution of the FFPs has the following breakdown: 32,204 FFPs for Surigao del Norte, 15,968 for Dinagat Islands, and 288 FFPs for Agusan del Norte.
The augmentation of both Food and Non-Food Items is based on the LGUs request while the prioritization is based on the severity and urgency of needs of the affected areas.
Meanwhile, incoming augmentations both food and non-food items from other DSWD field offices and organizations are also in transit. The Department has coordinated with several humanitarian organizations and the rest of the Disaster Response Committee for a more strategic augmentations in the affected areas in the region.
