The field staff assisted the LGU representatives during the delivery of Sleeping and Family Kits.

In its continuing effort to provide temporary shelters and other basic needs to severely affected of the onslaught of typhoon Odette, DSWD Field Office Caraga has delivered an additional 3,368 Non-Food Items (NFIs) to Siargao Islands on February 10-12, 2022.

NFIs delivered were the following: 628 Laminated Sacks, 700 Family Tents 1,406 Sleeping Tents, 1,406 Sleeping Kits, and 634 Family Kits. Recipient Local Government Units (LGUs) were San Benito, Burgos, Socorro, General Luna, Pilar, Dapa, and Sta. Monica.

At present, a total of Php108,465,421.40 worth of NFIs consisting of Family Kits, Hygiene Kits, Sleeping Kits, Kitchen Kits, Laminated Sacks, Family Tents, Purified Drinking Water, Malong and Mosquito Net delivered to severely affected areas in the region. Staff were augmented to different areas of Surigao del Norte (both Mainland and Siargao), and Province of Dinagat Islands to assist on the deliveries to LGUs and ensure to extensively meet the gaps of needs during the first phase of augmentation.

Respective quantities and other specifications of the augmentation of NFIs was based on the data given by the LGUs while the distribution is subject for the LGUs discretion.
