DSWD Field Office Caraga heads to Surigao City Island Barangays for last leg of 3rd Quarter Payout

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office (FO) – Caraga together with the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) of Surigao City conducted the last leg for the 3rd Quarter Payout of the Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens Program (SocPen) starting with the 21 Island Barangays of Surigao City assisted by the Philippine National Police (PNP) Maritime – Surigao City, September 21, 2022.

The payouts continued in Surigao City mainland from September 22-23 which concluded the third quarter payout for SocPen.

90.2% or 166,608 beneficiaries from 73 Local Government Units of Caraga Region were served amounting to Php249,912,000.00 released pension.

The first stretch of payouts for the last quarter of 2022 kicks off in the Province of Dinagat Islands on the first week of October 2022.

The Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens Program is government assistance in the amount of Php500. 00 monthly stipend to augment the daily subsistence and other medical needs of indigent senior citizens.
