With the availability of the updated list of poor households of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, the public can now check their status based on the Listahanan 3 database result.
As one of the services provided by the department under the National Household Targeting Section (NHTS), name-matching is a provision of data corresponding to a request to determine if a household is in the Listahanan database and check its corresponding poverty status.
Any member of the household aged 18 years old and above can request a name-matching at the regional office located in R. Palma St., Brgy. Dagohoy, Butuan City. The requesting individual should bring a valid government ID as proof of his/her identity and then he/she will fill-out the Walk-in Name Matching Form provided by the NHTS.
After which, the NHTS interviews and ensures that the requesting individual is part of the household members, since checking of other household’s status is prohibited under the guidelines of RA 10173, also known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012, which protects sensitive personal information.
If the request is valid, the requesting form will be forwarded to the Information Technology Officer for the name-matching processing using the Name-matching application version 3. With the service pledge to provide quality, prompt, and courteous service, the process will only take less than 1 hour and the requesting party will be provided with the result.
If the requesting individual’s household is found in the Listahanan 3 database, this means that his/her household was identified as poor household having an income below the poverty threshold. If the household is not found or if there is no match from the system, the household is considered non-poor having an estimated income above the poverty threshold.
However, the Department would like to clarify that those households found in Listahanan 3 database will not guarantee that they will be automatically included in Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) or will receive any cash grant from the agency’s programs. The Listahanan database is the source for the enrolment of potential 4Ps beneficiaries if there are additional slots for the program as long as the household also meets the program criteria such as having children aged 0-18 years old.
Based on the Listahanan 3 result, a total of 267,096 households were identified as poor in Caraga Region. Of this number, Agusan del Sur tops the list with 80,636 households, followed by Surigao del Norte with 56,072, Surigao del Sur- with 55,520, Agusan del Norte with 35,253, and Province of Dinagat Islands with 12,742. Butuan City on the other hand, the region’s capital and most highly urbanized city had a total of 26,873 poor households. ###(Social Marketing Section/DSWD Field Office Caraga).
