MADRID – Bagsac Women’s Association of Madrid, Surigao del Sur received a check amounting to PHP300,000 as livelihood assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, through the Sustainable Livelihood Program on January 13, 2023.
The livelihood aid serves as a seed capital fund for their farm inputs livelihood project. Prior to this, three associations also received livelihood assistance from the DSWD-SLP for their livelihood activities.
Together with the SLP Provincial Operations Office-Surigao del Sur Cluster I, Municipal Mayor Juan Paolo Lopez handed over the check to the representatives of the association.
As part of the Department’s implementation of the Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (PAMANA), SLP is delegated to provide livelihood interventions to communities in conflict-vulnerable or afflicted areas to uplift the living conditions of the people while promoting peace and order in the community.
