DSWD Field Office Caraga is proud to have served more and more Caraganon children and provided them with the right amount of nutrition through the SFP and continues to encourage parents to apply lessons they acquired to sustain the nutritional gains and improvements that the children are accomplishing through the program.
The Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP) is the provision of food in addition to regular meals for 3-4 years old in the Child Development Center (CDC) and 5 years old who are still in the center. Food supplementation will be in the form of hot meals to be served in the designated feeding centers for five days a week.
Along with other DSWD programs such as the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), Kapit Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS), and Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), the SFP seeks to achieve Sustainable Development Goal No. 2, which is eradicating extreme poverty and hunger.
