The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian met with the nine municipal mayors of Siargao Islands, province of Surigao del Norte, on Wednesday, February 8, 2023.

The Secretary took time to consult with the Local Chief Executives and discuss issues and challenges the Local Government Units are facing in the implementation of the Agency’s programs and services in their respective municipalities. Secretary Gatchalian expressed his commitment to look into the issues and concerns raised by the mayors and promised to act on them, ensuring stronger ties with partners and stakeholders for better implementation of DSWD programs.
