On a rainy day in Brgy. Magsaysay, Libjo, Province of Dinagat Islands (PDI) senior citizen beneficiaries flock to claim their social pension from the Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office (FO) Caraga.

Nanay Leonila, who was very pleased to claim their grants, and Tatay Winter Lopez, her husband, went together, to claim their pension, after which, they expressed their gratitude to the Agency.

“Salamat kaayo sa injo Ma’am, para ni sa among pang kunsumo ug maintenance (Thank you so much, for this. This is for our daily consumption, and for our maintenance),” Nanay Leonila said upon receiving and shared to DSWD FO Caraga how they always claim their stipends together especially since Tatay Winter is already suffering from memory loss.

Just like how they stick together, DSWD FO Caraga, true to its mission, will always be there to serve the poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged.

DSWD Field Office (FO) Caraga – Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens Program (SocPen) delivers 1st semester stipends to beneficiaries in the Province of Dinagat Islands worth Php500.00 a month totaling to Php3,000.00 per semester.
