Donned in their Barong and Filipiniana attires, Provincial and Municipal Local Government Unit partners were conferred awards by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga during the Regional Disaster Response Management Conference 2023 (RDRMC) at the Grand Palace Hotel, Butuan City, on April 27, 2023.

 

The awards were categorized into two, the Gawad Klimalasakit and Commendation Awards, for which they received a plaque and certificate.

 

Regional Director Mari-Flor A. Dollaga, ARDO Jean Paul S. Parajes, and DRMD Division Chief Melanie Juan, together with Ms. Diana Lim from the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD), led the awarding rites.

“You are the exact representation of what it means to do service without reservation. Your work matters with the community. We need you just as the cities need builders and as the progressive country needs farmers. Tonight, each of you will have that affirmation that you have truly extracted so much of your uniqueness, so much that you wonderfully excel at it”, Dir. Dollaga said in her inspirational message.

 

The awarding rites became more lively as the minor awards were announced such as, the star of the night, best dressed, and head turner. The Department desires to make the RDRMC 2023 more interactive and lively for the participants to enjoy and be affirmed once in a while in their hard works as the Agency’s partners in the successful implementation of the disaster response’s programs and services.
