In Frame: The RDRC Inter-Agency members, CSOs, and NGOs, together with DSWD Caraga staff.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga headed by Regional Director Mari-Flor A. Dollaga, forged a partnership with the Non-Government Organizations (NGO), Civil Society Organizations (CSO), and members of the Regional Disaster Response Committee (RDRC) Inter-Agency through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), at the Grand Palace Hotel, Butuan City, on April 14, 2023.

 

With all parties recognizing the need for strengthening efforts to ensure delivery of quality service to disaster-affected communities, a MOA was put in place, with the primary objective of mobilizing volunteers, ensuring proper management of humanitarian cargoes to disaster-affected families in Caraga Region. This way, all key stakeholders will be able to guarantee quick disaster response operations.

“With the agreements which we are about to forge, I am confident that the disaster-response and Field Office’s operations will be swifter and more accessible. Maraming salamat sa inyo sapagkat hindi kami nag-iisa sa aming adhikain – ang paghahatid ng serbisyo para sa ating mga bulnerable at maralitang kababayan,” Dir. Dollaga said, during her opening message.

 

Present during the MOA signing are the representatives from The Light of the World Community, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, Waterboy Reverse Osmosis Pure Water Station, Department of Public Works and Highways 13, Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terrorismo, Parole and Probation Administration 13, Rotary Club of Butuan, Father Saturnino Urios University Foundation, Inc., Coast Guard District Northeastern Mindanao,1501 District Auxiliary Squadron, Bureau of Fire Protection, Department of National Defense, and resource persons from DSWD Central Office.
