ARDO Jean Paul Parajes, expressed strong support for UN-FAO’s endeavor of its B-SPARED project pilot implementation.

The United Nations-Food and Agriculture Organization (UN-FAO) representatives FAO GIS Specialist Lady Dimapilis, Community Development Specialist Kattleya Torrecampo, Project Development and Coordination Support Pauline de Guzman, National Disaster Risk Management and Anticipatory Action Coordinator Edlin Lumanog, and Rural Resilience Specialist Aldin Beta-A, paid a courtesy visit to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga Assistant Regional Director for Operations Jean Paul S. Parajes, for its Anticipatory Action (AA) Response in Emergency Disaster B-Spared Project Inception and Regional Consultation for Typhoon AA in Caraga.

 

ARDO Parajes assured the UN-FAO that the Agency will have its strong support on their project’s pilot testing in the region.

 

The pilot project will target Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries and poor (non-4Ps) households from the Listahanan 3 database living in the highly typhoon-prone barangays through provision of cash-based interventions using the Typhoon activation timeline which was developed by Central Emergency Response Fund Anticipatory Action (CERF AA).
