Representatives from the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) Northern Mindanao Field Office conducted a regular spot check and inspection at the DSWD Field Office on September 20, 2023.

The activity is intended to ensure that government agencies are adhering to the provisions of law, as well as other pertinent Memorandum Circulars (MC) and Joint Memorandum Circulars (JMC) of ARTA. This includes compliance of the Field Office to RA 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business, ARTA MC No. 2019-002 Series of 2019 or the guidelines of the implementation of the Citizen’s Charter, ARTA MC 2020-07 or the guidelines on the designation of a Committee on Anti-Red Tape (CART), and the establishment of a Public Assistance and Complaints Desk (PACD).

During the inspection, the team from ARTA was able to observe compliance of the Field Office to RA 11032 and its instrumentalities. Ms. Daphne Lunsayan of ARTA Northern Mindanao (Compliance Monitoring and Evaluation Office), was able to observe commendable practices of the Field Office, providing more than what the law requires in rendering service to the public.

Ms. Lunsayan praised the Field Office for ensuring fast, efficient, convenient, and reliable service to Caraganons.

DSWD Field Office Caraga Asst. Regional Director for Administration Ramil Taculod, who represented Field Office Director Mari-Flor Dollaga (who was attending the Congressional Budget Hearing for DSWD) assured the ARTA team that the Field Office will continue to uphold the rights of its clients, and will ensure to act on recommendations to further improve the services of the Agency during the exit conference.
