Understanding the immediate and pressing needs of the fire-affected families in Carrascal, Surigao del Sur, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga provided augmentation support, swiftly, on November 17, 2023.

10 a.m., when Field Office Caraga, received a food and non-food items (F/NFI) augmentation request from the municipality of Carrascal, Surigao del Sur, for the 12 fire-affected families in Barangay Baybay.

True to its commitment, at 11 a.m., FO Caraga immediately responded to the request, offering a lifeline to those grappling with the sudden loss of their homes and possessions. The following are the items delivered;

24 Family Food Packs (FFPs), 12 family kits, 12 Kitchen Kits, 12 Sleeping Kits, and 12 hygiene kits.

Along with other services, the Department remains steadfast in its commitment to responding swiftly to the needs of disaster-affected families.
