In the continuous effort to serve the magnitude 7.4 earthquake-affected families in Surigao del Sur province, the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office Caraga distributed family food packs (FFPs) in the province’s affected municipalities on December 6, 2023.
28,334 FFPs distributed to 10 LGUs contain essential items to sustain their immediate nutritional needs during their stay in the evacuation centers.
The affected municipalities received the following number of FFPs:
Bayabas – 1,283
Cagwait – 1,162
Barobo – 1,887
Carrascal – 6,959
Cortes – 4,197
Tandag – 3,941
Cortes – 4,500
San Miguel – 1,600
San Agustin – 1,089
Carrascal – 1,716
The relief items were carefully curated to meet the specific needs of the affected families. This is to ensure that no one is left behind with the much-needed aid provision during these times.
