A total of 21 Local Government Units (LGUs) have obtained the Listahanan 3 database of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga through the National Household Targeting Section in 2023.
Listahanan is an information management system that contains data of poor and vulnerable households in the region. Its primary purpose is to identify potential beneficiaries of social protection programs and services.
The following are the LGUs who have successfully received and installed the database to its designated computer.
Surigao City, San Francisco, Sison, Alegria, Gigaquit, Mainit, Malimono, Tagana-an, Bacuag in the province of Surigao del Norte; Tubay and Buenavista in the province of Agusan del Norte; San Agustin, Lianga, Tago, Hinatuan, Lanuza, Marihatag, Carrascal, Cagwait in the province of Surigao del Sur; San Luis and Rosario in the province of Agusan del Sur.
The mentioned LGUs have obtained the updated database upon fulfilling all the necessary requirements for data sharing in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012. The requirements include letter request, accomplished data sharing agreement, SB Resolution allowing the head of office to enter into MOA with the Department, and designation of Data Protection Officer.
On the other hand, a total of 67 name-matching requests and 3 statistical requests were facilitated and responded by the NHTS last year. These requests are from the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, Sustainable Livelihood Program, Kalahi-CIDSS, Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP), and Promotive Services Division of the DSWD.
In 2024, the department has outlined a persistent effort to actively promote the Listahanan database. This initiative is particularly crucial, given the database role as a valuable reference for prioritizing the needs of the impoverished and vulnerable sectors in the execution of various programs and services.
“For this year, our commitment in promoting the utilization of the Listahanan database among our partners remains unwavering. Recognizing the pivotal role of the Listahanan database, we are determined to intensify our advocacy efforts. We will actively promote the Listahanan not only within our immediate network but also extend our advocacy to encompass National Government Agencies, Non-Government Organizations, and academe institutions,” Adelito Mendoza, Listahanan Regional Field Coordinator said.
