DSWD Project Management Bureau (PMB) and DSWD Caraga escorted the Child Protection Network (CPN) to Socorro, Surigao del Sur, to conduct environmental scanning through a focused group discussion (FGD) with the witnesses of the case against Socorro Bayanihan Services, Inc. (SBSI) to identify further interventions for the members, last January 29-30, 2024.
Moreover, DSWD and CPN will use the data gathered from the FGD to enhance the case management manual, which is detrimental to further social workers’ and case managers’ understanding of cases like SBSIs.
DSWD Caraga Regional Director Mari-Flor Dollaga, during the exit conference with DSWD PMB and CPN, expressed DSWD Caraga’s full cooperation on this matter. Furthermore, Dir. Dollaga told partners that the Field Office is set to conduct a Regional planning with regional program focal persons in the coming week to determine the services of DSWD that has been availed by SBSI members and to plan for additional services that are appropriate for them based on further assessment.
To ensure appropriate reintegration plans for the SBSI members, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian is in full cooperation and collaboration with organizations that work for the same cause.
