FO Caraga staff assessed the affected houses in Tago, Surigao del Sur.

Some 28 fire-affected families in Butuan City received food and non-food items (F/NFI) from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga on March 14, 2024.

DSWD Caraga staff in the Surigao del Sur satellite worked on the provision of food and non-food items in Tago.

The affected families are from the barangays of Imadejas (16), Doongan (7), Agusan Pequeño (2), Baan Riverside (1), JP Rizal (1), and Villa Kananga (1). Each of them was provided with the following relief items:

* Three family food packs (FFPs)

* collapsible water container

* kitchen kit

* family kit

* sleeping kit, and;

*Hygiene kit.

 

Meanwhile, on March 16, 2024, Field Office Caraga provided augmentation support to the fire-affected families in Tago, Surigao del Sur.

 

The fire incident ravaged the houses of thirteen families, with seven totally damaged and four partially damaged. In a concerted effort, these families were provided with the following items:

*3 family food packs each

*Hygiene Kit

*Kitchen Kit

*Sleeping Kit

 

The said augmentation supports were provided based on the request from the local government unit (LGU) of Butuan and Tago to assist the affected families.

FO Caraga, in collaboration with the said local government units, worked tirelessly to ensure that necessary aid reached affected families. Through its dedicated disaster response efforts, the Agency aims to provide disaster-affected families with hope and stability as they rebuild their lives.
