The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, in partnership with the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), successfully conducted a Roll-Out Training on Yakap Bayan Program Modules. The training, which took place from April 15 to 19, 2024, targeted members of the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) from the local government units (LGU) of Tago, Surigao del Sur, and Tubod, Surigao del Norte.

The primary aim of this initiative was to provide MADAC members with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes (KSA) essential for the effective implementation of the Yakap Bayan Program. This program is a critical component of the region’s efforts to combat drug abuse and addiction, offering a comprehensive approach to address the issue in local communities.

By equipping the MADAC members with essential tools and understanding, the training sought to enhance their capacity in leading the fight against drug abuse in their respective municipalities. The collaboration between DSWD Field Office Caraga and the DDB underscores the government’s commitment to tackling the complexities of drug addiction and rehabilitating affected individuals through community-based initiatives.
