The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, along with other members of the thematic areas for disaster, gathered on March 25, 2024, for the 1st quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) held at the Caraga State University (CSU), Butuan City.
The drill, which takes place across the nation and is conducted every quarter of the year, aims to assess the readiness of institutions, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
“On behalf of the Angel’s in Red Vests of DSWD FO Caraga, makakaasa po kayo na kasama ninyo kami sa mithiing ‘laging handa sa ano mang sakuna’ ang bawat Caraganon,” Disaster Response Management Division Chief Aldie Mae Andoy expressed during the drill where the Field Office served as one of the evaluators.
Along with other experienced evaluators, DSWD closely observed and assessed the response actions of the host institution during the drill.
As the region continues to strengthen its disaster preparedness efforts, FO Caraga remains dedicated to working hand-in-hand with local communities and stakeholders to foster safety and preparedness.
