The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga and Officers from the Landbank of the Philippines (LBP) met today, April 4, 2024, to strategize the implementation of the Unconditional Cash Transfer (UCT) program in the region.
Present during the meeting are DSWD FO Caraga Assistant Regional Director for Administration (ARDA) Tristan Telen, Policy and Plans Division (PPD) Chief Elsa Jamora, LBP Butuan Branch Manager Emelita Escalante, and LBP San Franciso Branch Manager Juliet Arino.
Both parties have agreed to accelerate the program’s implementation, particularly prioritizing the prompt distribution of unclaimed cash cards to UCT-Listahanan and UCT-Social Pension beneficiaries. The DSWD, through Listahanan, will also provide a clean list of unclaimed beneficiaries to LBP. Furthermore, they have streamlined the requirements, especially for beneficiaries who are deceased.
To date, there are still 1,386 and 4,629 unclaimed cash cards for UCT-Listahanan beneficiaries under the Butuan and San Francisco branches, respectively.
