BURGOS, SIARGAO ISLAND- The Local Government Unit of Burgos, Surigao del Norte, led by Mayor Angie Arcena and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer (MSWDO) Raquel Lerona, has formally adopted the Listahanan 3 database from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga. The turnover ceremony and installation of database were spearheaded by the National Household Targeting Section (NHTS) led by Regional Field Coordinator Adelito Mendoza, took place today, April 25, 2024.
The Listahanan dataset provides comprehensive data on the socio-economic characteristics of households, enabling better planning and implementation of programs tailored to address specific needs and vulnerabilities.
According to MSWDO Lerona that low-income families found in Listahanan 3 database will receive priority access to free social programs and services in their localities. She also added that since their municipality already has a detailed list of poor, it won’t be difficult for them to locate poor houses.
At present, 27 Local Government Units (LGUs) have gained access to the Listahanan 3 database, while others are currently in the process of fulfilling the prerequisites for Data Sharing Guidelines compliance.
