The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, in collaboration with the Association of DSWD Social Workers Inc. (ADSWI), Men Opposed to VAW Everywhere (MOVE), and the Empowerment and Reaffirmation of Paternal Abilities (ERPATS), celebrated Blood Donor Day with a successful blood letting drive at SM City Butuan Events Center – June 26, 2024.

The event aimed to support the Red Cross by highlighting the crucial role voluntary blood donors play in saving lives and supporting healthcare systems. Medical professionals from the Red Cross ensured that the donation process was safe and efficient, adhering to all health protocols.

DSWD Field Office Caraga through Protected Services Division (PSD) Chief expressed gratitude to all the donors and partners for their unwavering support.

MOVE and ERPATS members, including staff from the Field Office actively participated in the event, reinforcing their commitment to community service and advocacy against violence. Their involvement further highlighted the interconnectedness of health, safety, and community well-being.

 

The DSWD Field Office Caraga aims to continue such initiatives, fostering a culture of volunteerism and compassion within the region. Through these collective efforts, they aim to create a safer, healthier, and more supportive community for all.
