The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga successfully conducted Roll-Out Training on the Yakap Bayan Program (YBP)and Aftercare Module on June 17-21,2024 at Arena Blanca Resort, San Agustin, Surigao del Sur.
The activity, participated by the members of the City/ Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (C/MADAC) from Local Government Unit (LGU) of Cortes and Bislig City, aims to capacitate all the multidisciplinary members of C/MADAC with approaches and strategies through case management to ensure the optimum and successful recovery of Recovering Persons Who Used Drugs (RPWUDS) through the provision of appropriate programs and services.
Ms. Rosalie Lindo, Social Welfare Officer III from the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) Bislig City, reinforces the objective of the activity by emphasizing its significance to CADAC members, who have been equipped with knowledge and skills in dealing with PWUDs and conducting aftercare sessions.
“Aside from fully delivering the training modules, the training team was able to manage time well with opportunities to ask questions and talk about real experiences in dealing with PWUDs,” Lindo added.
DSWD Field Office Caraga continuously commits to providing technical assistance to LGUs that replicated YBP under Executive Order No. 66 series of 2018.
