The Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) was in full swing, handing over 58 livelihood projects amounting to Php23,445,000.00, serving 1,671 program participants in the municipalities of Alegria, Mainit, Tubod, Tagana-an, Sison, San Francisco, Malimono, and the City of Surigao.
The said livelihood projects, funded through the SLP Regular Implementation and the PAyapa at MAsaganang PamayaNAn (PAMANA) program, aim to improve the socio-economic conditions of the program participants while also empowering them by enhancing their skills and capabilities.
Aside from these turn-overs, the Program also conducted a Project Usbong Provincial Consultative Meeting with partnered stakeholders at the SP Session Hall, Legislative Building, Provincial Capitol, Brgy. Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.
This said consultative meeting was attended by representatives from DTI, Provincial Veterinary Office, DICT, DOLE, PESO, Provincial Planning, TESDA, ASSCAT, BFAR, AFP, and the DA.
The said activity aims to strengthen the coordination and collaboration between DSWD and the important stakeholders in the implementation of SLP to ensure the success of the program, and provide technical assistance to program associations.
