230 beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) received vital cash grants through the Enhanced Support Services Intervention (ESSI) Cash-for-Work (CFW) payout. This event took place simultaneously at seven distribution centers across the Province of Dinagat Islands, reflecting the government’s commitment to supporting its most vulnerable populations.
The payout was orchestrated by the 4Ps Regional Program Management Office (4Ps RPMO) under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga. The initiative specifically targeted households classified as low-hanging fruit, as well as those identified as Level 1 or 2 based on the Social Welfare and Development Indicator of the 4Ps Program. This strategic approach ensures that assistance reaches those most in need, helping to uplift families facing economic hardships.
Each beneficiary received financial aid designed to address immediate needs, such as food, education, and healthcare. The Cash-for-Work component of the program not only provides financial support but also encourages community participation through various local projects, fostering a sense of empowerment among recipients.
Looking ahead, further payouts are scheduled in the provinces of Surigao Del Sur, Agusan Del Norte, and Agusan Del Sur in the coming days. These distributions will extend the program’s reach, ensuring that even more families benefit from this crucial support.
The 4Ps program is instrumental in delivering financial assistance to families while also providing supplementary resources to indigenous communities, homeless families, and other marginalized groups. By addressing the socio-economic challenges faced by these populations, the government aims to promote inclusivity and resilience in the community.
