Relief aid from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, is reaching families in the Province of Dinagat Islands, providing much-needed support to those impacted by the effects of the enhanced Southwest Monsoon on September 18, 2024.
As a result of the distribution, a total of 3,461 family food packs (FFPs) were provided. The breakdown is as follows:
- Basilisa: 30
- Libjo: 374
- Cagdianao: 500
- Loreto: 1,984
- Dinagat: 600
DSWD Field Office Caraga, led by Field Office Director Mari-Flor Dollaga with SWAD Team Leader Mark Louie Gaputan, in close coordination with the Municipal and Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (P/MDRRMO) and Municipal Social Welfare and Development, are working tirelessly to ensure timely aid delivery to affected communities.
Moreover, Field Office Caraga remains committed to ensuring that no family goes hungry while staying responsive to the needs of communities, particularly in times of disaster.
