4,800 partner-beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Butuan City have taken part in the Katumanan 2024 Graduation cum Exit Ceremony earlier today, October 22, 2024, at the SM City Butuan.
The aforementioned households have graduated or exited from the program after successfully achieving or reaching the Well-being status of Self-Sufficiency in their living condition.
Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga Assistant Regional Director for Operations Jean Paul Parajes congratulated all the 4Ps graduates, saying that the Department and its partners are proud of the feat achieved by the beneficiaries after years of complying the conditionalities of the program.
ARDO Parajes further stressed that DSWD, together with the other key stakeholders will continue to provide guidance and assistance, especially through foundational FDS sessions, to ensure the sustainability of their family’s well-being.
Partners from the Butuan City Social Welfare & Development Office (CSWDO) and other LGU Butuan officials witnessed the said event. Among those who attended were Butuan City Councilor Hon. Victor Vincent Plaza, CSWDO SWO-IV Fe Balason, and ABC President Hon. Gemma Tabada.
4Ps Partner-Beneficiaries take part in the Katumanan Graduation cum Exit Ceremony after achieving a Self-Sufficient Level of Well-being based on the conducted Social Welfare and Development Indicator (SWDI) assessment.
The “Katumanan” which is a Bisaya word for “fulfillment” or “realization”, is conducted annually, and is a realization of the 4Ps families’ victory in the plight to end the inter-generational cycle of poverty.
