These sub-projects, which includes the repair of 1-unit classroom, upgrade of isolation facility and hand washing facility, installation of solar powered streetlights, and installation of public audio system, were completed through the KALAHI-CIDSS program in partnership with Municipal Local Government Unit (MLGU) and other stakeholders.

Barangay Development Council -TWG Chairperson Valerio Borja, a dedicated KALAHI-CIDSS volunteer since 2014 highlights the role of the program in empowering marginalized communities and promoting social welfare.

โ€œMapasalamaton me nga natukog ning pasilidad sa among komunidad nga dako og tabang sa among kalambuan. Ang processo sa KALAHI estrikto pero sigurado, daghan me nakat-onon pinaagi sa mga training og seminar nga magamit namo sa sunod pang-proyekto (We are grateful for the completion of this facility in our community, as it greatly contributes to our development. The process of KALAHI-CIDSS is strict but effective, and we have learned a lot through the training and seminars they conducted, which we can apply to future projects),โ€ Borja remarked.

KALAHI-CIDSS is a program that uses a community-driven development strategy to ensure people-centered development by providing assistance, capacity-building, and implementation support to poverty-disadvantaged and disaster-affected municipalities.
