Several young achievers from Caraga Region were honored at the 4Ps National Children’s Congress 2024 Awarding Ceremony held at Waterworld Hotel in Mandaue City today. The event celebrated the outstanding contributions of children from various regions, including those with disabilities, as part of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps). The awards were given to young individuals who have demonstrated exceptional achievements in the fields of education, community service, and personal development.

Blair Enterio from Talacogon, Agusan del Sur was named Caraga’s Regional Exemplary Child for 2024. He was recognized for his exceptional academic performance, leadership qualities, and involvement in community-based initiatives that promote child welfare and education. Blair’s story is one of determination and resilience, making him a role model for other youth in the region.

Along with Blair, three other provincial winners from Caraga received accolades as Provincial Exemplary Children. These include Jhon Collin Besinga from Agusan del Norte, Cris Lee Sepe from the Province of Dinagat Islands, and Judy Faith Budiongan from Surigao del Sur. These young individuals were chosen for their active participation in various community and school activities, as well as their efforts to promote the values of responsibility, kindness, and hard work among their peers.

Also recognized for his outstanding contributions was Sean John Detomas, who was chosen as Caraga’s Child with Disability (CWD) Representative. Sean John, a young advocate for the rights of children with disabilities, was acknowledged for his perseverance in overcoming challenges and his active involvement in programs that raise awareness about inclusivity and child protection.

The awarding ceremony served as the culmination of the five-day workshop which gathered provincial and regional winners from the National Search for Exemplary Children. The participants engaged in activities that cultivate their awareness of issues such as child protection, health, and education.
The 4Ps National Children’s Congress is an annual event that marks a significant step in recognizing the achievements and potential of young Filipinos, inspiring others to contribute to the betterment of their communities.
