Headed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga as the Chair of the Regional Council for the Welfare of Children (RCWC), the National Children’s Month officially began its month-long festivities with a Kick-off Program on November 5, 2024, held at the SM Events Center, SM City Butuan.
This year’s celebration is based on the theme: “Break the Prevalence, End the Violence: Protecting Children, Creating a Safe Philippines!”
As the highlight of this celebration, the RCWC has emphasized the Kid’s O’Clock campaign, which encourages community members to raise awareness and advocacy every day at 3 PM. This initiative aims to leverage social media to reach a wide audience, prompting everyone to recognize their role in creating safe environments for children in the communities.
Additionally, a variety of activities are planned throughout November to honor, celebrate, and support children and their families, promoting a healthier future.
