The Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga has been recognized for its outstanding achievements in Fiscal Year 2024. The program received multiple awards during the Strategic Planning Workshop held from November 27 to 29, 2024, at Lafayette Hotel Suites in Baguio City.

EPAHP Caraga excelled in its collaboration with Local Government Units (LGUs) and effectively utilized its allocated funds, earning the top rank for the highest number of LGU engagements among Field Offices. It also achieved a remarkable obligation rate of 96.07% for the first quarter of Calendar Year 2024.

Additional awards include:

– Rank 2 for an obligation rate of 84.92% for the first quarter of Calendar Year 2024.

– Rank 2 for the most number of negotiated procurement activities focused on community participation.

– Rank 2 for the most contracts awarded to community-based organizations (CBOs).

These achievements highlight Caraga’s commitment to promoting community engagement in procurement processes, empowering local stakeholders, and fostering inclusive growth.

Furthermore, the program ranked third for the most regional convergence team meetings conducted.

The EPAHP Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) Caraga continues its efforts to support Community Based-Organization (CBOs), unite partner agencies, and develop innovative solutions to combat hunger and poverty in the region. By promoting collaboration, optimizing processes, and empowering local communities, the EPAHP-RPMO Caraga makes significant contributions to the program’s mission.

Currently, the Regional Program Management Office is attending the Strategic Planning Workshop, which serves as a platform to align nationwide strategies, share best practices, and set forward-looking objectives for the EPAHP program. By participating, RPMO Caraga demonstrates its commitment to refining and expanding its initiatives aimed at addressing hunger and poverty in the region.
