The partner beneficiary harvesting eggs from their RTLs.

The partner beneficiaries of Project LAWA at BINHI in Barangay Diegas, Basilisa, Province of Dinagat Islands, have begun harvesting eggs from their ready-to-lay (RTL) chickens.

The said RTLs were established through Project LAWA at BINHI or the Local Adaptation to Water Access and Breaking Insufficiency through Nutritious Harvest in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) Basilisa , a project that aims to address food and water insecurity.  Part of the project implementation has provided training, resources, and support for poultry farming.

The RTLs began producing eggs just two weeks after their arrival.

As the beneficiaries continue to reap the rewards of their hard work, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga remains steadfast in its commitment to empowering vulnerable communities and providing them with access to essential resources such as food and water.
