The Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) association from Brgy. Nueva Estrella, Cagdianao, Province of Dinagat Islands, acquired a livelihood project in the recent ceremonial turnover spearheaded by the SLP provincial operations office and its local government unit (LGU) partners.
The Nueva Estrella Traders SLP association received a worth Php 300,000.00 consumer store project that will provide their community with access to basic commodities and other necessity goods available to purchase with just a few steps away from their households.
As one of the pioneers of the aforesaid association, Treasurer Rosalina Saludi fully commits to providing technical assistance and other strategies to their members, particularly the new ones, to secure high market share.
“I pledge my full commitment, to the best of my abilities, to guide the new ones with advanced and efficient strategies to sustain this project. With this new store, the people of Brgy. Nueva Estrella will no longer be going to nearby barangays just to buy necessary materials they will use in their daily household chores,” Saludi remarked.
SLP empowers communities and its constituents through the provision of livelihood opportunities that promote sustainable living and foster the alleviation of their socioeconomic condition.
