The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, in collaboration with the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), conducted a three-day Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) training for its Quick Response Team (QRT) on November 25 to 27, 2024, at Southville Hotel, Villa Kananga, Butuan City.

The RDANA is crucial in understanding the extent of the damage and identifying the most pressing needs of those affected by calamities. It gives a clear picture of the situation, making it easier for decision-makers to focus resources and actions where they’re needed most.
With the unpredictability of disasters, RDANA has become a crucial and timely tool, helping disaster responders like FO Caraga’s QRT stay ready and act quickly when the unexpected happens.

As the vice-chair for disaster response, DSWD remains committed to building a more resilient region by continuously empowering its personnel and strengthening inter-agency coordination.
