In a powerful display of advocacy, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga’s Home For Girls took to the streets today to raise national awareness for the prevention of child sexual abuse and exploitation.

Under the theme, “Maging Solusyon: Labanan ang Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children” (Be the Solution: Fight Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children), the children and staff of Home For Girls, together with participants from La Trinidiad Integrated School and the Barangay Council of Bgry. Bonbon made their voices heard in a vibrant Noise Parade.
Led by Center Head, Ms. Marisa Garay, the parade commenced at the at the Home For Girls facility to the Barangay Site. The event aimed to highlight the urgent need to address the growing issue of online sexual abuse and exploitation of children, a crime that poses a significant threat to the safety and well-being of young people.
The Noise Parade served as a visual and auditory call to action, engaging the local community and emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility in protecting children. Participants carried placards and chanted slogans, effectively conveying the message that everyone has a role to play in combating this heinous crime.
