The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) program facilitated the Ceremonial Signing of Marketing Agreement between Local Farmers and Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations (SLPAs) in Cabadbaran City with the collaborative efforts of DA-Phil Rice Agusan Experiment Station and Local Government Unit of Cabadbaran City – March 4, 2025.
The Federation of Cabadbaran Irrigators and Farmers Association, Inc. (FECIFAI) signed a marketing agreement with three organizations: the Bayabas Grains Sustainable Livelihood Program Association (BGSLPA), Bukid Bukid Farmers Sustainable Livelihood Program Association (BBFSLPA), and the Calamba Farmers RiceBIZ Sustainable Livelihood Program Association (CRSPA).
FECIFAI, representing a collective group of farmers in Cabadbaran, will collaborate with BGSLPA, BBFSLPA, and CRSPA to create sustainable market avenues for rice and grain products grown locally.
FECIFAI President Ruenston Delalamon thanked government agencies and the LGU Cabadbaran for the support and looks at the partnership as a challenge for the organization to level up their game and ensure to sustain their supplies for demand partners.
The event, which was attended by representatives from the DSWD Field Office Caraga, the Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice), officers from Local Government Unit (LGU) of Cabadbaran City, is a great step to uplifting economic opportunities for both local farmers and Cabadbaranon SLPAs.
Following the ceremonial signing was the ceremonial delivery of GapProved rice products to the Bayabas Grains Sustainable Livelihood Program Association at Brgy. Bayabas, Cabadbaran City.
This convergence highlights the growing momentum of collaboration between agricultural groups and local government initiatives, setting the stage for continued progress in empowering communities across the country.
