A total of 551 beneficiaries from Buenavista, Agusan del Norte, received Family Food Packs (FFPs) on April 6-8, 2025, from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, in recognition of their active participation in the agency’s Food-for-Work (FFW) program.
These beneficiaries rendered two days of community service at Project LAWA at BINHI sites located in the barangays of Alubijid, Manapa, Malapong, Simbalan, and Rizal.

The FFW program is one of DSWD’s key initiatives, providing temporary employment to vulnerable families in exchange for their participation in community-based activities. These include disaster preparedness and mitigation efforts, such as those currently being carried out under the LAWA at BINHI project.
DSWD Field Office Caraga continues to partner with local communities to promote inclusive and sustainable development while ensuring that the most vulnerable sectors are empowered through mea ningful engagement and support.
